I had the honor of making a Mother-of-the-Bride dress for Dawn, a fellow FGI (Fashion Group International) member who I've known for about 15 years now. She wanted to use the dress that her mother wore to her own wedding as the fabric along with another thrifted wedding dress. So, I ended up making a pattern just for her, cutting it out of the dresses and even having to dye the fabric from the thrifted dress to match her mother's dress. Below are photos of the process. In all, it took about 45 hours over a period of a few months.
This is the original sketch of the idea:

Last week, I had the pleasure of representing Arizona as Regional Director at the Fashion Group International's annual Regional Director's Conference. This is me glamming it up at the Movado headquarters.
I've been a member of the Fashion Group International for 15 years and I'm the current Regional Director. Each year, our RD gets to attend this conferenc in NY where we learn a lot about FGI, but also about the newest trends in fashion, technology and all industry relevant information. At the end of my trip, I also got to run through the MET Museum's China Through the Looking Glass exhibit!
Below you will find a few highlights from my trip...
